Congruence and Climacteric
Ben Weaver / Congruence and Climacteric at the Wolf House With Bethany Lacktorin
All things are connected. This is not up for debate. Earth, wind, fire, water. Community and culture. Humans and blizzards. Without a reciprocal awareness to this connectivity, society becomes individual and lacks cohesion and collectivity, without which community no longer prospers and art has no ecosystem in which to grow.
Since 2009 Ben Weaver has been riding his bicycle around organizing musical and poetry performances, working to unearth a disposition of reciprocity within humans for land and water. Im still learning and seeking new perspectives for how to do a better job with this work. I am blessed by many individuals who have helped guide me along the way.
Please join us at Bella Luna Studios at the Wolf House to participate in an evening of music, storytelling, and community. Ben will sing new songs and read new poems from an upcoming project.
Ben Weaver is a songwriter, poet, cyclist, and letterpress printer. He has released 8 studio albums of music, and four books of poetry. The bicycle is Bens vehicle of choice for touring his music. His most recent bicycle powered tours include; tracing 1500 miles of the Mississippi River from Saint Paul to New Orleans, and circumnavigating Lake Superior. Bens tours work to partner with regional and national organizations to help raise awareness about water and land issues. Given the choice he will side with the animals, mountains, trees and streams.
